Admin/Chris,
My account page is still playing up (it's showing a minus figure against what I've earned, not the actual amount - and I don't think it's just a case of removing the minus sign, as the amount doesn't seem to correlate). I'm getting curious now as to what the real figure should be, as I've sold about eight pieces since I was last paid and am keen to know when/if I'm due to be paid again!
Would appreciate it if it could be sorted out, thank you!
Rachel

Hi Rachel,
Here's how I keep track of my pay:
I made an Excel spreadsheet on my PC to keep track of the articles I have written and sold. I like having the info in Excel because I can calculate both cost per word as well as cost per hour. I also have a calculation that takes into account the 65% that I get.
So if I sell a 550 word article that I wrote in an hour and a half and sold for $80 then I automatically learn: I earned $52 or $.094/word or $34.66 per hour.
So far, CC has been accurate with their figures in what the owe me but I like the greater detail my own spreadsheet provides.
I also track the usage sold, date written vs date sold, whether written per request or from my own brainstorming, date paid, and purchaser (if known).
PS I've only been doing this a few weeks but it sure is fun and addicting! Plus it's cool to get $ for doing what I love.

I have a spreadsheet set up as well, but nothing as great as that. I would love to add all that extra information... it's addicting you are right.
Mine only shows all the articles and the prices that they are available at for the different licences, and when I sell it, I increase the number that is beside the licence type that sold, and it totals up how much I made, and then gives me a running total at the top too.
Oh, and it looks as if my account is showing the right amount, but I like other's I've heard had troubles with it. Mine always said an amount that was much higher than I'd actually made for the total amount (not the amount due. That's always been right for me.)
