Bio allowed in for-sale content?

I am a bit confused regarding whether or not the author's name can be included when selling Usage Rights content...

Here:

http://www.constant-content.com/area/wr ... elines.htm

It states that any for-pay content cannot have links, but they must include the byline when submitting the content if they want it included.

Here:

http://www.constant-content.com/area/writerfaq.htm

It states that an author cannot include a bio unless requested by the client.

I have used byline & bio interchangeably in the past. . . maybe there's a difference? Maybe this is just a typo on the website?

If somebody could set me straight on this, it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Byline refers to: By Celeste Stewart

Bio refers to: Celeste Stewart is a writer that specializes in blah blah blah.....

If you want a byline credit, you need to place it in your article. Your screen name isn't necessarily your byline and it won't show up even if it is unless you place it in the document.

For usage and unique sales, the customer must include any byline listed based on the license agreement. If the article sells for full rights, the customer can remove the byline.

Bios are not allowed unless specifically requested by the customer. If so, put a note in the short summary to alert the editors that the customer wants the bio.

Thank you - that cleared it up for me.

I've worked solely as a ghostwriter for the last year & a half; getting credit for any sold work is new to me.

Thanks again.
