Title already registered - Short cut?

This comes up occasionally when I use a very simple title and usually when responding to a public request. I am notified that my title is already registered only after I have filled in all the fields and pressed the last submit button. I tried many ways to just change the title but the site won't allow me. Currently I have to resubmit from scratch - time consuming and subject to another 'title already registered' notice.

Does anyone know how I can just go in and change the title while connected to CC's server?

There isn't a short cut for this. Some writers who are writing for requests will put a number after their submission. Like, "Gold Bracelets For Everyday 2." I don't recommend doing this for other submissions because this can be confusing, but I think for public requests, this is okay if you're having so much trouble getting your title to take.
