I just submitted my first article but was rejected because I need to "break up your paragraphs
into more easily digestible chunks and resubmit" Is this because I didn't space the paragraphs out properly? When submitting I realized I forgot to leave the double space between paragraphs. Or does it mean I need to cut it down a little, maybe I was a bit too wordy? Any help is appreciated.

I would imagine that it means your paragraphs were too long, and that you should either condense them or separate them out a bit. Hope this helps.

I agree. Something that helps me is to remember that I'm writing speficially for the web. Short paragraphs (2-3 sentences aren't too short) made of short sentences are much easier to read.

Thanks Sally and Lisa for helping out. This is exactly what I meant. It does definitely help to double space between paragraphs, but it's also essential to make sure that readers (esp. web readers) don't have to wade through long paragraphs to get information.
