Or rejected, I guess.
I became eligible for writer pools early last month and I applied to two immediately. I still haven't heard back. I expected the waiting period to be close to two weeks but I believe I'm well into my third. Did anyone else have to wait this long?
How long does it take to be accepted into a writer pool?

Heh well I was waiting for over a year. But don't let that discourage you - I was also barely active for that whole year. Once I picked up the pace I got more work. Check out this thread to sort of get a better understanding of how it works (according to us writers!): viewtopic.php?f=3&t=76465
If you just keep submitting error-free work and writing consistently, then next time a big order comes along maybe you'll be included!

I waited since January to be accepted into a couple of pools I requested to join. It's now June. I got accepted into some, but still haven't heard anything on the others. I'm kind of disappointed that I wasn't accepted into the Australia pool, since I live in the capital city of the state of South Australia and have written multiple articles about the region, the state and the nation. But it will come eventually. Patience is the key here, I think

Yes, it can be months! But CC don't automatically put people into a writer pool just because they qualify. They seem to wait until they have work in the pool that they need more writers for. Just keep writing well and hope for the best.
