This is a basic question I know, but I was wondering if the maximum number of articles you could have waiting for review was still six or has that changed?

I don't think there is a maximum number. I've had over 15 waiting at one point - and have 7 waiting now.

I've been working to a maximum of 6 since I stopped being a newbie and I can't remember where that figure came from.
