Writing for Public Requests - a quick question

I've read the FAQ about responding to Public Requests. The only thing that's confusing me is where it says that you should reply to the customer and "link to" your article. Does this mean that I should post my article somewhere else on the internet and give the customer a link to go read it? Or does it mean that I should submit my article to CC's editors and after it finally gets approved, message the customer with a link to where my article is posted in the CC catalog?

No, do not post your article elsewhere.
When you are submitting your article to CC, choose Public Requests and then choose the specific request. Once your article has been approved by CC, you can message the client to advise them of your article. You can always try sending the client a message via CC to advise them that you have written an article for them and it is currently in the CC editing queue.
