Question about Paypal?

Hi,
I'm new to CC and I had a question about method of payment. I know you only accept paypal, but what if I don't have paypal? I'm Canadian and the information they want is horrid!!

They want a credit card, which I do not own one, then they want the pin number on said credit card, then they want what Canada calls a social insurance number, the same kind of thing the states have, social security, and I only gave that to my employer and the government. My husband doesn't even know that number. To beat all they want my dead mother's maiden name. I'm not impressed to say the least.

So how does this affect me here at CC?

If you want to be able to receive payments online your going to have to confirm your identity. PayPal has over 50 million users and is as secure as any site gets. PayPal does not ask for the pin number of any credit card, only a credit card for payment info. I believe you don't even have to do this, I think you can just give them your bank account info.

As for the mother maiden name this is just for a security question, you can change this to city of birth if you wish. I’m pretty sure they don’t as for a social security number either, maybe the last 4 digits for another security question.
