Premium Articles... submission question.

I have noticed that when I go to submit an article, submitting it as a premium article is an option.

Does that mean articles are not considered for 'premium article' status unless they are specifically submitted to that category?

Also, what advice can you offer for authors to achieve that status?

Thank you.

Hi. As far as I understand, even though the option to classify an article as premium, this is an oversight, and articles shouldn't be placed in this category on submission.

Ed picks those articles s/he thinks makes the grade for this category. The articles chosen are usually over 1000 words, show the author has an in-dept knowledge of his or her subject, and are, in the main, free from any grammatical errors. I may have missed something, and, if I have, someone else will add.

In selecting the premium articles, I think that Ed is looking to create a section that offers the customer a well-balanced range of subjects.

Thanks for explaining this, Jane - you've got it right.

The articles are often chosen for the calibre of the writing, as well.

Thanks Jane!

I thought there was something odd about that option.

Thank you also for the premium guidelines!
