For Admin: Upload problems

Post by Gail Kavanagh »

I am unable to upload files. I go through the whole process up to the part where I upload the file and nothing happens - I get a blank page with Submit Your Content at the top. This has been going on for three days now and it's very frustrating as I don't know what is wrong. I am submitting Word documents as usual - no change in the type of file I have successfully submitted before. Can you help?

Try emptying your Temporary internet files, and deleting your cookies and try again.

Nope, that didn't help. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

It's been nearly a week now, and I still can't upload. I got as far as seeing it marked `unfinished' in my articles today but I cannot get it to complete submission - all I get is a blank page. I have tried uploading text file, .rtf and web page - is it possible to submit via email?

Gail can you try another account or maybe another computer? Just to rule out the site or something on your machine? I'm really not sure what it could be... maybe you have something blocked in your security settings.

Thanks for taking the time to help, I really appreciate it. It certainly wasn't the CC site - I took a friend's advice, disabled Internet Explorer and downloaded Firefox. Voila! Problem solved. So if any one else runs into this problem - switch browsers.
Again thank you, it's good to know the support is there at admin. :D
