Questions about categories

Because several of my submitted articles have fallen between categories or the subcategories don't fit, I wonder if I should be using the categories as a guide to what I write or the angle I take? Also, a detail: Is there a reason the only subcategories under the career topic are about writers?

You can write about whatever you want. If you suggest a category, there is a possibility that it will be added, however we don't always have the time to do this. Just makes ure you place your article in the most appropriate category and suggest a subcategory that would be appropriate under that category.

As for "writers" - there were probably a lot of articles about writers at one point. If we got a lot of submissions about other professions, we might have added those categories.

That said, the category system isn't perfect, and its setup sometimes frustrates me. Just do your best.
