how about song lyrics?

Wouldn't it be a great addition to the site to offer song lyrics for sale? Just thought of that. It would open us open to a whole new market of writing.

We shut down our poetry section a couple of months ago. This really isn't a great outlet for that kind of work. Plus . . . it would just open up the site to a lot of terrible would-be lyrics writers.

I had an acquaintance in a band. This person said, "Writing lyrics is just like writing poetry, only easier because the words don't have to make any sense!" Yeeeah.

Actually, I don't have the ability to edit "good" or "bad" lyrics, just like I am "a pig in the water" with poetry. Therefore, we ended up accepted all poetry, no matter how low quality, simply because I had no basis for rejection except in the case of punctuation, grammar, and spelling. But it didn't really sell, either, to be honest.
