I love the fact that these days we can, in theory, see the details of the licensee who's bought our work, but it's rather frustrating when people don't put any information in. It seems to be happening to me really frequently and I wondered if there's any way of ensuring that buyers do fill that box in?
I know it's possible to eventually search for things in Google, but it's time consuming when there's lots to look for, things don't always come up for a while and I'm just curious to see where my articles are being used!

Believe it or not, this is one of the reasons we don't do this. Some authors turn into sales people and end up bypassing CC. Its happened in the past and will continue to happen I'm sure. We try not to make it to easy for the writer. When this happens these authors will be banned, our customers normally tell us when they are solicited out side out CC. Not to mention its pretty easy to figure out.HerbDoctor wrote:Well, privacy concerns are very real for people. I mean, who wants to risk having an inbox full of "and have you seen my LATEST articles" emails?
