I have 5 articles on CC that have been accepted. Viewing of the articles increase each day. However, none have sold. Should I be encouraged because they are being viewed or discouraged because none of them have sold?

Thanks, Jane

First of all, don't be discouraged! It takes time for individual articles to find a home, especially if they are articles you wrote on your own and not for a specific request. Some sell instantly while others will take over a year. The key is to keep building up your inventory and not dwell on individual articles once posted. Use the keywords section of your articles as well to maximize your chances of being seen. It takes time. Keep an eye on what's selling and keep submitting. Answer requests when you can. Good luck!

I don't pay attention to the hit counter because so many of us writers check out each other's work!

Thanks Celeste. I assumed a lot of the hits were by other writers. I know I certainly read a lot of the articles of other writers.

Just keep writing while you are waiting for something to sell. That way you will have a TON of articles available!

Things have been, in my opinion, a little slow around here lately but it will pick up again sooner or later.

Hello Jane,

It does sometimes take ages for articles to sell. The first article that I submitted here took months.

I am not selling as much as I did last year but I am not writing as much either.

It would be great to know other writer's ideas for avoiding being upset about articles not selling!

Best Regards,
Lisa

Thanks for writing back. I still haven't sold anything on CC and I haven't written anything new for CC recently. I have been submitting articles to Associated Content and have been paid there for several articles. Have you ever written for AC? I will check out the articles ou have on CC. I like reading other writer's work. My AC link is

if you want to check out my content page on AC.
Thanks, Jane
