Anyone Know of Good E-Book Software?

Post by LJade »

"Good" means either really cheap ... or really free ... or really easy ... or really worth the money. Even better would be one consisting of ALL of the above.

Although I've 'written' e-books for others, I've never put one together and now I want to write one for me ... I'm confused with the stuff out there!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that someone here has written an e-book using some sort of a program so if anyone has, please share your experience because I'm also sure that I'm probably not the only person looking for info like this either.

Thanks in advance!

There is a free ebook compiler you can download at
http://www.jansfreeware.com/jftools.htm
called sbookbuilder and there's one at http://www.ebookcompiler.com/
you can try. I haven't used either of them, as I publish books through www.lulu.com which is another avenue you can try - the website converts the material into an ebook for you.

Hope this helps :D

Hi Gail,

I'll get over and try those, thanks by the way. That lulu sounds real familiar too for some reason...I'll check that one out too.

I really appreciate your help too!

Thanks,
