Question about US spelling

On the UK side of the Atlantic, the word "practice" is a noun, while "practise" is a verb. I've noticed that every time I use the word with an "s" here. it gets underlined in red. Does that mean you don't discriminate between the noun and the verb? and does that apply to other similar words, eg licence, license (but with that its the "c" one that gets the unscore). I'm confused. Can anyone help, please?

both remain unchanged betwixt noun and verb usages.

You got it.....us Americans would get too confused if we had to switch letters all the time, to differentiate between our nounlies and verbiages :)
