Delay in Review

Post by Elizabeth Ann West »

I know I've struggled to be a regular writer lately. A new baby will do that for you. But is Ed on vacation or something and I missed a posting? I only ask because the 2 articles I sent in last Sunday night are still in review. It doesn't usually take this long, unless he is out of town etc. Or is everyone seeing longer review times?

Hi there. It's been longer for general submissions. A week + isn't that unusual these days. Public and private requests are still promptly reviewed. I think we have more writers subbing than in days gone by. . .

If you receive the request notifications, you also know that we've had a ton of requests come in the past few days, too.

Thanks,
Ed

It's about a week, I'd say, but there were probably 10 or so public requests posted last week. I've experienced about a week for the wait time, but I haven't submitted anything for the last few weeks.

The article I wrote for a public request was reviewed within hours.

Thanks! Just checking. I am desperately trying to keep up with my writing, but Catelynn is teething. So during her morning nap I get to shower and eat, her afternoon nap usually start dinner and pick up a little. She can't quite amuse herself (she's 15 weeks) for more than about 15 minutes before she is bored, nervous as to where I am, or just needing a change. I would write in the evenings when my husband is home, except he is finishing his Masters before we get out of the military, so he is gone 2 nights a week, and doing homework at least 2 other nights and some on the weekend.

Ugh, life so gets in the way sometimes :) Glad to know I wasn't crazy about the review times, and I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a glitch or something since I noticed one day this week the site was down for a little bit right before we got paid.
