Hi,
New to the site and have a question about setting prices for an article when it is for requested content. First, I assume that all price per article ranges that are in requested content are for the Full Rights price? Second, when I am submitting the article, do I still include the usage and unique price?
I find everything on the site to be pretty much self explanatory and easy to understand - except for this.
Thanks !
Ron

Re: How to set prices when submitting requested content
Hi there. I usually assume the given price range is full rights. Some people price the article higher and do sell it. I think you need to set your own price. If the customer says 10-20, but you're not letting it go for under 30, set the full rights price to 30 and maybe usage to 20.
I always submit to public requests with the idea in the back of my head of "will this sell publicly if the buyer decides not to buy it?" So, I set my prices according to what I am willing to sell for if it's in the public pool. If the buyer doesn't buy your article, it goes into the public pool, so set your price where you're willing to let the article go.
make sense? I'm tired, so even the shift key for capital letters hurts. LOL

Re: How to set prices when submitting requested content
You can also change the prices later (up or down) if the article doesn't sell to the requester. For example, if the article is cheap based on the requester's budget but he doesn't buy it, go back and adjust the price up to the price you feel it really deserves. I've done this many times with good results.

Re: How to set prices when submitting requested content
Since most buyers here buy Full Rights over the option of Usage at a lower price, you can guess the requesters are generally looking for Full Rights unless they say otherwise. You still need to price the article for all three rights options, or at least the ones you can offer (usage only for example)EnigmaNYC wrote:Hi,

Just submit with your Usage, Unique and Full Rights and see what happens.
