Hi folks,
I just want to clarify the whole promotional content thing before I sell my articles elsewhere (because I love C-C and it is my first choice).
I have a few articles on applications for a certain smart phone. The articles do not include urls and they also are not reviews. They simply detail what the application is, mention who developed it and provide details on what the application does (including the operating systems they were designed for). However, a couple of them do provide suggestions about why the apps are useful. Would these fall under the promotional category? I have a hunch that they would, but I'm not certain.
Thanks!

Re: Question About Promotional Content
Not really. When CC discourages promotional, they're mainly refering to us writers either promoting ourselves or our own personal websites, brands, etc.
Re: Question About Promotional Content
Very cool! I will submit my articles here, then.
Thanks, Celeste!

Is that so? I took it to include articles written in "sales hype" as well (though not reviews written in a more impartial manner). I may be wrong...

Re: Question About Promotional Content
A lot of customers come here looking for promotional content for their sites but will usually issue a request if they have a specific product they need to promote. But you can write product reviews here on spec, no problem.
