Open Office help, please

After a hard drive problem last year I wasn't able to load my reload my ancient Microsoft Office disks, so I downloaded Open Office which is working ok for me. There's just one thing I'm finding frustrating.

Does anyone know how to accept the predicted text? Often it's not right, but sometimes it is and would save keying time if I could accept it. I can't find it on the help pages and when there is predicted text on screen, as soon as I touch the keyboard it disappears. So annoying when I then have to type it in.
