Some of the topics aren't even words. Is this normal or some kind of glitch?

It's someone trying to automate or scrape. There was someone trying to do SQL injection one night too. In your pic, those are encoded URLs, so it's someone running scripts or it's some lamer spammer. I wouldn't worry about it.
