Hello all,
A while back I posted that my dream is to be a web publisher, not just a web writer. To that end, I've been learning lots about the ins and outs of content management systems. Yesterday, I took a huge plunge and figured out how to install wordpress AND drupal onto my server.
Wordpress was pretty easy to get up an running, but it doesn't appear to be robust enough for my needs. Drupal, however, has an answer for everything I want one of my sites to have: users, profiles, the ability to contribute content, etc. But, I am still learning.
If anyone is interested in seeing Drupal in action, you can become a member of my test page at www.eawestwriting.com/drupal-6.2 The site is very much still in just alpha, but I am happy to give anyone interested advanced rights so they can see some (obviously not all) of the administrator functions.
I should preface that the site is not really of any substantive content, I am just making little posts and stuff to see how things work.
Always Smiling,
EAW
