Full Rights Article Still Listed

Post by jentypist »

I've sold an article for full rights, but it is still showing as editable. Should that be the case? I can't delete it, but I can edit it. I thought unique or full rights content is removed for further purchase or editing. I'd like to have it listed just for the sake of record keeping, but am confused about being able to edit the content or price.

This happens from time to time. Why? I don't know. Shoot an email to support and they can remove it for you. Otherwise, someone else can buy it which wouldn't be good license-wise.

Maybe you mean it shows on the "Your Content" page as editable? That is the norm. Your list of articles stays intact on this page, but for some reason you can't delete it but can still edit it. Maybe they didn't know what else to put in the box? I don't know, but as far as I know everyone's sold articles have that. But anyone who wants to edit a sold article has too much time on their hands. ; )

Grouchy's right. As long as it's showing up as sold and isn't listed on the site, you're fine. Sometimes, they show up as sold but still have a status of "view" and remain available for purchase. If that's the case, then contact support. If not, you don't have to worry.
