Thank you to CC

I have been writing for a number of sites and I have come to a final conclusion. CC is the only place where I consistently receive good compensation and strong support from other members. I have been involved with a bidding site and placed a bid for a project that on the surface appeared easy enough to accomplish. I was not able to write for the buyer because I believe he didn't really know what he wanted written. It is just not possible to write 800 words on the use of lanyards without having fluff and making the articles interesting.
My point is, when I wrote to the buyer stating that I was mistaken and didn't want to turn in junk, he went ballistic. His words, "I could write the articles myself, but my time is more valuable than that. Why would I write an article myself when someone else would do it for only $10 - $20. Now go get back to begging people for low paying work" made me realize that as a writer I need to value the ability to write more. Writing is a skill that is not natural to everyone and well written content is worth the money. I will tape this on my forehead if I have to.
Thank you to CC for providing a venue that brings writers and buyers together in a respectful manner.
