I'm guessing he's experiencing the aftermath of Ike with power outages having hit Ohio and thereabouts...

Is Ed IN OHIO?????????????? Poor dear. And if he moved here willingly, I must say that perhaps I MAY have one more brain cell than him!! :D I've been stuck here for life, that's my excuse!

My parents have Dayton Power& Light, and lost power on Saturday, with 60mph winds......and got power back yesterday.
We got lucky because we missed the line of fire, some 40 miles northwest of where they live. Crazy it is, getting hit by a hurricane all the way inland !! :)

Uhh . . . good theory! I didn't have to deal with any power outage issues, but have been hearing about trees crushing houses and cars.Kind of scary, since I don't know what we'd do if we had a real natural disaster.

I think this must be we have a smiliar sense of humor, DSW. It's a coping mechanism. ;) I always joke that the Wright Brothers invented the airplane so that they could help people get out of Ohio. And, indeed, whereever you go, you will meet Ohioans - who, incidentally, always seem to like to share in a good-natured, self-depracating joke that no one else laughs at.

Oh, how you make me chuckle, Ed!! :) Just about coated my monitor with Diet Pepski. Sweet.

Along with the Wright Bros, another method of escape is memorialized in Wapak, for Neil Armstrong, who learned that UP, UP and AWAY may be the quickest route of exit from Ohello :D

I did actually make it as far as Illinois once, in my endeavors for freedom from this nutty state, but apparently I have an ankle bracelet that yanks me back if I get too far away!
