Anyone want to exchange articles by email to proofread?

Would anyone like a proofreading pen pal? I will proof yours if you'll proof mine. I brought up the idea of a proofreading forum earlier, but it was pointed out that the content on forums is indexed by search engines. I would be willing to exchange articles by email. I know that I see mistakes in other people's work before I see my own. I've been proofing my work and letting it sit for a day or two, and then proofing again... but even that is not 100 % reliable.

If anyone is interested in this, let me know.

I would love to exchange articles by email. Ive had all of my articles rejected so far :(. I need someone else to review my work and point out what I'm not seeing. Do i post my email address here or how do we do this?

My suggestion would be to create a private group with either google groups or yahoo groups, post the web address here that authors can join if they would like, and make sure that group is private and not indexed by search engines. Then authors there can send private messages to each other, share emails etc. I've thought about making such a "support group" for C-C authors before, but I don't have the time right now to maintain it. Also because there are sometimes issues and concerns we as authors may wish to write about, but not have potential buyers read about (like pricing guidelines).

Posting your email addresses here is a bad idea because the forums regularly trolled for spam and it would give your email address out. Also, I don't know how Ed and the staff here would feel as it would make you a prime target for buyers to try to buy around the system by contacting you directly.

But if they approve posting your email addresses, you should never do the address with the @ symbol in it. Instead write out like myname *at* blahblah *dot* com so only humans can understand it (though sophisticated email address harvesters are learning to parse common email address work arounds like myname[at]blahbalh[dot]com)
