Hi Writers,
Many submissions contain pronouns that do not clearly refer back to an antecedent (or pronouns that appear not to refer to an antecedent at all). This impedes clarity. In addition, a pronoun should always agree in number with the noun to which it refers. Singular nouns take singular pronouns. Singular nouns should not be referred to as "they" (such as the name of a state, the name of a company, the name of a website, a type of dog breed).
Using the word "they" to refer to a person or thing that is singular but not clearly identified is not appropriate.

Articles that contain unclear wording will be rejected. Please always review your articles for clarity.
Thanks,
