Okay,
First problem is the subject and content of emails I am getting about sold articles. In the body it will say "Sold Usage- "Article Name." Unfortunately, a number of times now, most recently with "How to Prevent Costly Mistakes from Tax Software," they sold for full-rights, NOT usage. This is a problem because most of the time I will repost articles that sell for use on other sites once they sell here because under the new policy they are no longer eligible for full-rights purchase and I want to maximize the amount I make on the work I did. This time, I checked My Content just to make sure the license was correct, and it wasn't. It's a very good thing I DID check, because otherwise I would be acting like I still have rights to that article.
The problem: Emails and message notifications are saying ALL articles are selling for usage, when they are NOT and this is misleading to authors about what, if any, rights they have retained for the work.
Second problem affects me and a few others. AC writer Mark Neil http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/4 ... _neil.html is still in business after I have notified support TWICE about the stolen content. He stole an article from me and at least one other C-C writer on how to write an obituary. The article he has stolen from me is "How to Avoid the Troubles of a Home Based Business." I notice he has not published any more since 3/3/09, but the material have not been taken down by Associated Content. Should I contact their support? I have not because we were all informed to go through C-C's support.
Thanks!

Re: Two Issues
Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for posting here. I'll look into the emails that are sent out for purchases I'll let you know once we have that issue sorted out.
And I'll get on the AC writer account and see what progress we can make there.
Thanks,

Re: Two Issues
Thanks JR! :) I knew there was a flurry of emails to support last week about the AC stuff, but that one guy's account stole from more than one of us and it slipped through the cracks.
And thanks for taking a look at the notifications. I really do appreciate it because if memory serves me right, they used to say which license it sold for, and now they are all saying Usage. I don't want to make the mistake of re-posting an article a buyer bought for full rights.
Thanks again!!!
Always Smiling,
Elizabeth Ann West

Hi Elizabeth,
Just wanted to touch base on your points. We've fixed up the emails, so moving forward the emails should tell you the proper license type that the articles have been sold for.
We've been in touch with AC today and will be following up with them again tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on our progress there.
