Article still private to request, i think

Post by tumbleweed »

Hey,
I submitted an article for a public request 1 think 4 days back. It's got no hits, so does that mean the guy who posted the request didn't care to see it? Also I tried using the article search to find my article on the site, but the search doesn't list it. How long will it remain private to the requester? Or is there something I'm missing here.

It is supposed to be three days. But I noticed earlier this week it was closer to 4.

If you received an acceptance notice for the article, you should be able to find it on your profile page.

Nope, if the article is for a public request, it doesn't show up in My Profile until its released into the wild after the 3 or 4 day period. At least the last article I submitted to a public request is showing up in My Content as accepted ("view") but is not listed on my Profile page. This is probably to keep other people from viewing it before the original customer has a chance to see it. I can't remember if it was always this way or not.

 Oops, my mistake. Well that just goes to show how long it's been since I've sub'd a public request! I just assumed it would be that way because the private requests I've submitted in the past few months were viewable on my profile.
At the very least, Tumbleweed, you can check the article's status via the My Content page (review/view).
