Greetings everyone. I am a new addition to the site and I have been creeping articles on the home page. Most of them seem fact-oriented and well-researched, though I have not noted any citations. I am wondering what the protocol is for this. When we submit an article, are we required to provide a list of references, or are we to mention notable sources/links within the body of text itself (minus the
http://www. of course)? Forgive me if this is stated explicitly elsewhere on the site.

Some writers include citations at the end (and they might not copy and paste them into the long summary so you don't always know) without the live links as you noted. Others use inline citations along the lines of "According to the 2010 Citing Your Sources Report from Example.com, blah blah blah. . ." This is my personal preference for general articles destined for the Internet. I feel that it's user-friendly and gives credibility to the article.
