There's a website that's taking the short summaries of articles from CC and even the corresponding price. But that's about it. Take for example this article by Stacy D. Cooper, "How to Write an Informal Personal Payment Agreement" appears here http://www.infowarskc.com/employment-st ... agreement/

That site is what is known as a "scraper" site. They are automated websites that webcrawl and lift writers' published content for reproduction on their own webpages. The idea is that you get a Google Adsense account for your scraper website and then hope viewers click on the ad links on your scraped page so that you earn revenue instead of the author. Scraper websites actively steal revenue from writer sites where Google Adsense is used to generate revenue for the writer. In the case of CC, that doesn't apply, but it still appears to be a copyright violation. I've left a comment on the scraper site using my spamcatcher email address, and luckily comments are not moderated. Anyone visiting the page will be able to read my comment and see that the site is a copyright violator.

There doesn't seem to be any ads though, so I wonder how this site will profit.

I saw Google Adsense ads on it (the underlined links). This thief has a Google Adsense account.

Be aware that if you message someone on FB (even if they are not a friend), they will be able to view your profile for 6 weeks (or months...not sure which). You might want to go to your settings and block him after you send the message if you don't want him seeing your FB page!

They are hosted by AUTOMATTIC and they have a system in place to deal with copyright violaters.

CC should contact them here AUTOMATTIC Copyright Infringement Complaint

I emailed the site's owner and it looks like the infringing articles have been removed. Thanks for pointing this out.

There is always someone willing to steal rather than work.
