As authors here, we benefit from the site management's efforts to sell our work. However, we can work to build up CC too. As an example, here is a recent article I published that shows CC in a positive light.
What have you done recently to promote Constant Content?

TBH, I know it benefits me to point to my work here, but I also pay a ridiculously high fee to CC, so I expect them to market the articles for the amount of money they take from my paycheck.

I do have a link on my blog, but I'd prefer to find a way to market to buyers, not writers. If CC has any ideas, I'd be happy to do my bit. I think 60,000 writers is a crazy number, and forgive me CC, but I think it cheapens the site. I'd love to see the day when it's promoted based on the number of clients it has, rather than the writers. I know there are less than 5000 writers who have actually produced anything, and about 80% have 10 or less articles under their belts, but that number still doesn't balance well with the actual number of sales. With 60,000 writers, it means CC eds have reviewed 55,000 applicants who never submitted a thing to the site, and that number is likely much higher considering those who were reviewed, but not accepted. Forgive me again, but I think this is a waste of manpower. Those funds could possibly be used to promote the site to web publishers. I'm sure CC is doing all they can, but I hope these proportions are recognized as well. I appreciate the need for fresh blood, but I'd love to see a balance.
Oh, and for those who are wondering where I got these figures, go to "find writer" and slip the letter "a" into the search box. We all come up in order of the number of articles we have in our profiles. I had writer's block one afternoon and decided to play with my toys.

Great points Lor. 60,000 writers is not real - maybe it made sense when there were a lot less writers but not now.
What if all the active writers wrote an article about how CC is a good place to buy quality content? Post on your blog, rev share, forums etc. That would drive some buyers here now and for years to come. Here's my contribution.
