Is it ever necessary to remind the editors about a submission? I have one that's 10 days old and still in review. I've had seven articles approved that were submitted after that one, and its for a public request from someone who has bought two of my articles.

I did a self-edit and replaced the file once, and while I don't know if that sets the article back in the queue, that was only a day or two after the original submission, well before most or all of the seven that have since been approved. Thanks

You could try contacting support about this. It does seem a bit odd. I believe sometimes an editor will put something aside for another look later if they are not sure about some aspect of it.
