chef, chef's chefs

Sorry to be a pain - this is bugging me. We talk about a carving knife, bread knife etc but is it chef knife, chef's knife, chefs knife (cook, cook's, cooks) ? Does it even matter? I have seen it used all ways. What is your preference?

I'm pretty sure it is chef's knife, as it's the most common form I've seen. I may be wrong, though.
