Finding Use or Unique Articles

Ok, I know some of you have mentioned finding your articles by putting the entire article in google & doing a search, but I must of "missed" something. I can not find the recent ones I sold this way??? I sold my first "use" & also 2 "unique" & would like to find them to be sure they have followed the "rights rules", but I dont know how I can do this.

Can any one help? Is there any way on CC to find out what site they are buying them for, so we are assured our name is included and other author rights? I have read a lot about the rules NOT being followed by buyers and would like to verify that they are not doing that with my articles.

THANKS SO MUCH!!! :)

Take a SIP! Choose a "statistically improbably phrase" that your piece has that is not likely in other articles. Put the whole phrase/sentence in quotation marks and google that.

I just put
"The ideal game must include two other elements: artificial intelligence and player-created content"
into Google and searched for it. No hits--good thing, as the article it's from hasn't been approved! :D

Catnipp, some may never show up. Many people use usage articles in their email e-zines that they send to their customers -- which is part of why they don't care about duplicate content because it's not something they are displaying on their websites. Also, some may end up in print publications.

Others may not have been indexed by the search engine yet or perhaps the customer hasn't had a chance to update his website.

If you're really concerned about your articles selling for use and being abused, price usage at a rate you can live with and treat it as unique or full rights.

I'm not terribly interested in selling for use so many times I'll price it the same as unique or full rights. In my case, selling for use doesn't seem to be the hot ticket and I don't want to hassle with policing it. . .

THANKS Dave -- GREAT idea about the quotation marks -- I TOTALLY forgot about using those! BUT, I still can not find them -- will have to keep checking. One was bought by the "freemasonry" guy & another from the "hair idea" person -- if any one has a clue to who they are, or where their sites are -- I would APPRECIATE It. I know the freemason guy has bought a lot.

Celeste -- I am not as worried about policing it (except I have read about too many who have not followed rights & guess you have to) as I am about getting "clips" to add to my pile! I "know" I said I had enough of them, but after thinking about it, how can you ever have "enough"?

I never thought about selling use or unique until I thought about "that part" of it. If you go by CC "suggestions" they have unique at 12 cents a word & use at 1-3 cents a word & nothing for full. I can see why people may be confused about it all. I hope to sell my "use" 3 times & I would be happy :D !

THANK YOU BOTH VERY MUCH FOR THE INFO!!!!

I'll keep checking WITH quotation marks!

What I wrote about CC "suggestion" sounds confusing -- what I meant was they are suggesting a price for "use" that is 3 to 4 times lower than the "unique" price & by not mentioninga "full" price -- the full price would be more than 4 times of that.

In simple words -- they beleive it will sell MANY TIMES as a "use". This is positive thinking & also encouraging!!!!

OK, now I confused myself, again! :?
