Getting Approved for?

I just viewed the top ten writer profiles and saw they are approved for a range of writing types. I don't seem to be approved for anything and can't find where to apply to get approved. How does this work? thanks

I believe it's to do with the Writer's Pools, but may be wrong. They have been specially approved to write on topics within those categories. You can only be invited to join the Writer's Pools once you have submitted a number of articles without rejections.
