Blog Position Open Until the 30th!

I found a site that's hiring bloggers, the deadline has been extended to the 30th so if anyone is interested here's the info:
www.families.com is hiring a bunch of bloggers, I know there's a 90 day training period and the pay is $3 per post during that period, $4 after 90 days. There's a lot of topics too! There's a link on the homepage, just click there and it will take you to the page with all of the requirements as well as how to apply.
I started to apply for this position but I'm just not a blogger y'all! I have a blog but I seldomly post anything there, right now I'm trying to figure out how to upload my Mexico pics in there to no avail but I really just haven't had the time to play around with uploading so I'm sure there's a simple way ... I'm just not ready to devote an hour to uploading yet!
I will get those pics up though (Mary!)

Hi Lisa,
If you're on blogger, there's a little icon at the top of your post to click on..then it lets you browse and load your pics just like the article submission here.
I applied for that families.com job last week but I gave my blog (which has not been updated for a little while now) as one of my references. So we'll see. It would be nice steady base money in between articles.
Oh yeah, and if it won't take your pictures directly from your computer, you can get an account at photobucket. It lets you upload your pics to their website, then use that url to load your pics onto your blog.
Hope this helps.

Well, I was hoping it would help someone because although I'm pretty at nagging and bi***ing someone would probably hunt me down if I was a blogger!
The only blog fit for me I do believe would be one that harped on and on about Pres. Bush ... which would be equally dangerous for me.
Oh, I just wanted to add that my Dad's last name was Adkins ... we may be of some relation down the line, LOL.
I wish everyone luck, if anyone gets the job post on here that you did ... I'll feel good!

I married into Adkins - a long line of coal miners from West Va (for real) - it always sounds so cliche when I describe it!
I'll let you know if I get the blog. My goal is to get something which is a sure thing - even if it's small, so this would fit the bill. I should add that it's really hard to beat this gig though, especially when you're selling!

LMAO! Oh, c'mon y'all ... there's a little selfish demon in all of us and I have to admit that sometimes when I submit an article for a request I'm sitting here saying, "get mine, get mine, get mine".
I want the buyer to purchase everyone's I guess but I just want mine to go too!
It's a totally different story though when I start working on a job that requires like 40 articles cause I know all 40 are mine ... I have to do the work and it's hard.
Oh CC ... as far as I know the Adkins line or at least the ones we know of originated in a small town called Williamsburg Kentucky I think, I know it's Whitley county. The story is really wild, the usual family struggles of jealousy and greed!
Well, I need to get busy on the other 19 articles down on the book for THIS week ... today is Thursday so I have to pump out 10 more today, on top of everything else I've done. I'm not complaining though!
LJ
I am crossing my fingers that families.com will shine on C-C writers for the positions!!!!

Hi Eliza!
We are neighbors? Where do you call home? I guess I could've checked your profile ... I think we have profiles here. I'm just gonna go look and see in a minute.
Neighbor can mean so many things though, I had someone in New York to tell me we were neighbors. (East Coast thing)
If you're in S.C., GA. or N.C. then we are neighbors! Tell me more.
LJ
(NOTE)PS. DUH! Profile is only listed beneath each post...I just checked and did not see a location on ya so you just have to tell me,

I wanted to thank you for posting this. I found your message the same afternoon that the applications were due and got mine in just in time.

Hey another_mother, I'm another mother too, lol. I'm anxious to know if anyone scored this position?
I did notice a few weeks ago an announcement on families.com that said they did hire some but still had a few openings to fill.
Let me know! I'm hoping that a few from CC did get it.

I did get accepted, but sadly had to pull out after reading their contract. The main problem for me was a clause saying you couldn't work for any company deemed a competitor, and since I already do, that was rather tricky
I also wasn't keen on the fact that they prevent you from doing any other similar work for six months after the contract with them is terminated, which I really didn't think was fair. Plus, they take all rights and, for the amount of money they're paying (and there are set word limits/am,ount of posts per week and month) it didn't really seem worth it in the end.
If anyone is interested, it's worth keeping an eye out as a lot of other companies are now hiring people for similar blogs, but generally pay better.
