Grammar Help

I use WordPerfect (and then use OpenOffice to convert or put my article on my local network so I can access it from one of the computers I DO have MS Word on). I know that Word and WordPerfect has a grammar checker and you can change the settings on it to flag almost anything. It has different styles. (I can't remember how to change the settings though) Recently I thought I was doing fine with the writing I was doing but the place wanted highly active phrases and to avoid passive verbs altogether. But I learned that Word and Word Perfect has settings in the grammar checker to help locate those passive phrases. It's been a life saver really.
I don't know how I survived this long without it. lol
It isn't the end all, be all of article grammar checking. You should check to make sure you've used words correctly. It doesn't catch everything. But it helps. It helps you learn which styles you have issues with and perhaps can help you.
Just thought I'd put that out there in case people are having problems and don't know exactly where.
