I've been wondering if book reviews sell--either in depth or critical in nature or basic summary information. And then, what book genres seem to garner the most interest? Children, adult fiction, non fiction, etc... Before I put the time in to write some, I just wanted to get some feedback first. Thanks, J.

I have several children's book (or y.a. fiction) reviews for sale for usage rights, and none of those have sold--either because there isn't a market for them or because they're only for usage.

I don't know if it would be different for more mainstream/mass market fiction or not. The best thing to do is submit a couple, and if they don't sell right away, maybe someone will come along and buy them eventually.

Thanks for responding Dorothy. It just makes the most sense to me to write what you know--when you can--and I am a big reader and work with books so it would be great fun for me to write about them. I have a few in the cc index right now, but I can always submit a few more along with other things that are maybe more marketable. --J.

Looks like reviews have been selling to me... a lot of sold recently.
