Farewell 2005 ... My Ode!

I can't wait to get rid of '05! While there have been good moments ... there's been plenty of bad ones too.
The best thing that happened to us in 2005 was in February when the police arrested my ex and I traveled to a foreign country to find my internationally abducted son.
He had been missing for more than four years and landing in Atlanta with him by my side was the best.Traveling to Mexico in November to visit my husband's family, our Christmas trip to Kentucky to see mine, learning how to operate the timer on my range and discovering that Dawn dish liquid kills fleas was great too.
The absolute worst part of '05 has been the ongoing war in Iraq, watching ole dufus (Bush) on t.v., helplessly watching the nation starve Terri Schaivo to death, gas prices soar, my Mom injured her leg really bad thanks to an uncovered raw sewage pipe and my Grandmother had a heart attack the first week of December.
The best part about 2006 for me is that 2005 will be gone.
The worst part about 2006 is that it looks as if nothing will change but I haven't given up hope!
I hope that everyone has a great start in 2006 and that tax time doesn't kill us all too. Despite all that has happened I'm still a strong believer that:
United we stand,
Divided we fall,
Our country is grand,
With something for all!

PS. The biggest unanswered question from 2005 .... where in the world is Bin Laden?? Will the world ever know?
