Mission Statement

This is meant in complete and utter good humor.
I haven't seen a public request for $10-$20 ever receive so much attention, especially since it is so specialized. All of those extra mission statements aren't exactly easy to resell.....

Yes, the customer is going to be spoiled for choice! In any other circumstances I would say that once the article has been purchased we'd have to delete the others so as to avoid any 'copying' problem, but I can't see anyone else buying the ones that don't sell

Yeah so far, the only thing I can think to do if mine isn't selected is to leave it up as "sample" website rewriting. Changing the keywords, and short statement to reflect this that it is a sample for future work.
Not sure if C-C will approve of this though....

That's a good idea. Why not change it up to make it a generic mission statement that would fit any company (if TS doesn't buy it)? Lots of companies need mission statements but are unsure how to go about creating one. Being able to buy one online could solve their problem or at least get them started while they further develop their goals.
I would add a little note in the short summary saying that the mission statement is available as is or you'd be happy to further customize it to best meet their needs. What I wouldn't do is say that you wrote this for some other company and they didn't select it. That's sending the wrong message - that the mission statement wasn't good enough.

Oh absolutely. I would change references to the current business to a generic business, and say so in the short summary that "EAW Company" is the spot where their company name would go.
Hmmm, maybe a generic "About Us" would also be a good idea.
Ed? Care to weigh in on this before you are flooded with generic web content pages?

I don't think you even need to put in a company name. Something like:
Our Mission:
* To support our customers to the best of our abilities and beyond
* To deliver superior products
* blah blah blah
Or name the company "Your Company Name Here" so potential customers don't have to think too hard. If they see a formal compny name, they may move on not realizing that the statement can be customized.
The mission of <Your Company Name Here> is to support customers from start to finish and beyond. <Your Company Name Here> strives to blah, blah, blah....
