Can I suggest a new FAQ for the customer FAQ?
How about WHY HAS NO AUTHOR WRITTEN TO MY REQUEST?
The answer could be something to the effect, PERHAPS YOUR PROPOSED PAYMENT IS TOO LOW. AUTHORS GET 65% OF THEIR SALES, SO OFFER ACCORDINGLY. ALSO, AUTHORS ARE MORE LIKELY TO WRITE TO A REQUEST WHEN THEY SEE YOU HAVE PURCHASED ARTICLES FROM CC SO AS NOT TO WASTE THEIR TIME!!

You can always try posting a question to the request like....
"I can write an article for you but $10 is just to low, I can write you 700 word articles for $$. You may find a hard time fidning a writer here for that budget”
Or something like that.... But be professional.
It could be the requester didn't mean to choose $10-$20 or the tried $10-$20 to see if anyone would be interested.
