This is the second time I've worked on a rejected article for resubmission and found that none of my edits are showing up in the text displayed after submission. Both the preview image in the article listing AND the text box itself on the edit page show the original text.
Is this an issue? Is this a bug? It seems silly that you don't need to upload an actual file to submit the original article but would then, what, need to download the auto-generated text file from the site, edit that, then upload it separately to submit edits? What's the text editor on the actual page even for, then?
I'm loathe to try and figure it out without knowing what version of the text the editors are seeing, especially since my edits were a bunch of tiny things that it'll take me ages to track back down and remember. Uggggggh.
Can we not make edits within the text box itself any more?

You have to do the revisions and FIRST save those changes. THEN you resubmit. So basically, you do your revisions, then click "save" right under the edit box. THEN you resubmit. It's counter intuitive, I know. If you resubmit without saving the text changes, they don't save.

Ooooooooiiiiiiii. Yeah that's some poor UI design there. Especially when in any other context the "save" button is the one and only option available so of course you're going to be habituated to "hit the one button and done!" Bleh.
Thanks for the heads up though. That's definitely where I went off-track.

No problem. Had a rejections due to the same problem. It's not good, but hey, at least there is a workaround. Grrrrr

oh and also, you have to do the revisions in both of the edit boxes. The one that is long details (can't remember its exact name) and then the formatted editor or you'll get a kickback again. Just an FYI.

Re: Can we not make edits within the text box itself any mor
So I just submitted an article after a long while and am getting used to the new system. The text looks fine in both the boxes ( long summary and text box), but there seems to be a spacing issue in the preview - the image that shows up when I click on the title. How do I rectify that when there is no spacing error showing up in the edit boxes???
Thanks for any ideas!
