Whoa!!!!
Swedishdemocracy - your articles are so in-depth and well-written. Why on earth are you giving them away?? C'mon - this isn't a site where the ones with the lowest prices win. Please reconsider. We have a reputation to protect.

Did you see, Swedish Democracy made the Premium Content list?
The article is only $5!!!!!! This is good stuff, SD. Charge for it! I may still buy it for five bucks just to get it off the list. You deserve more than five dollars for your efforts. And we're not talking about marking it up to $7, either.

There may be several reasons for this price:
1) May have been a universy paper - the other articles appeared to be on a similar, well-researched theme.
2)Sweden has higher standards of living than the U.S. - hello socialist health care; this person may not be in Sweden.
3)Perhaps these are test articles, or this person is completely new to freelance writing/CC.
There was one requester who wanted African American content at a good price - these two need to talk.

What sort of system does CC have in place to notify customers when articles they might be interested in come in? I think I've read before that customers can sign up to an email alert system that notifies them when articles are submitted that they might be interested in - is that right? Is there some sort of facility whereby, on purchasing an article, a customer can opt in to be notified when similar articles become available at CC?
I was thinking that something like this might be good for the author's profile... 'can't find what you're looking for here? This author/these authors have also written articles on the same/similar topic(s)', then the link takes the customer to where they might find what they're looking for. Not too sure how, or even if that would work, especially as most of us write about almost anything and everything...
Thanks.

I see the $5 premium article is still available -- which reinforces that price isn't necessarily all that customers base their purchases on. This particular article isn't for everyone. In fact, it has limited appeal. The right customer will likely come along eventually and find it perfect for their site. I'm willing to bet that when that customer comes along, they'd be willing to pay far more than five bucks.
Oh well, I'm preaching to the choir I suppose.

Well, at least ONE of their Premium articles available for "Full Rights" is published on Associated Content
I saw it earlier today when I noted it was in competition with one I had written on a similar subject over there.
