Where's Dorothy?

Post by LJade »

I've been feeling like there's something missing here all week...it's Dorothy! Anyone know where Dorothy ran off to because she was into everything just a week ago and "Pooof" ... she's gone.

Lady Jade,

You're right Dorothy hasn't been posting in the forums. I'm sure she's just busy. BTW, I sent you a private message. Did you receive it?

Oh, I'm around . . . between sending out resumes and my fabulous (!) social life (read: "petting the cat") who has time? Actually, I've been lurking--just frustrated because I seem to be in a selling lull. It's my own fault, actually, for not answering the requestors' calls.

Actually, I've been mulling over some fiction ideas, but just not brave enough to jump on in. Besides, fiction pays almost not-at-all unless you've got the right factors in place. I'm waiting for the planets to align.

Anyway--thanks for missing me gals. The forum has been pretty active lately. That's great.

Dorothy,

I have written several for requests, but also seem to be in a bit of a sales lull. It happens from time to time. Don't become discouraged. Get lots of articles up on CC and one day you'll be surprised at how many have sold. :)

Dorothy! Now see, I think the planets are aligned because it just feels complete. I knew something was missing around here and it took me a few to figure it out. I'm glad to hear you're doing good.

Don't worry about the 'lull', it happens and I hate it when it does. I hate it right now really because I'm saving up for my trip next month. Mexico here I come!

Plane tickets have already set me back $1400 and I'm gonna be there for a week so, I need dinero. Mucho!

Then Christmas...whoa 'Jingle Bells'! It really makes me wanna cry.

Mary, I surely did not get your PM. I'm gonna try to send you one though to see if you get it so let me know.

Later all,

I sent a PM to TheWriteKind and the system worked, so I don't know why I didn't get yours but when 'TWK' replied I was instantly notified that I had a PM over here...cool!

I guess you're in bed right now, you must not be a bonified night owl hmmm. It's 2:30 a.m. and I'm working my tail off ...same ole same ole 17 hours a day.

Talk to y'all tomorrow :!:

Thanks for the encouragement, gals. I noticed a lot of fitness articles sold yesterday--some more pricey ones, too! I love to see that when someone just comes in and swallows up 10 or 15 articles in one gulp.

I know more writers than web site owners, which is too bad or I would direct them our way. I don't know anything about running a website or zine, but it seems that anyone even thinking about starting one would have no trouble getting enough content to attract as many hits as they wanted.
