Is it hot or what?

Post by Celeste Stewart »

I love seeing the recently sold board smokin' like it is! You know how some of us pine ("remember the DIY request" / "remember the 'records' request" / "remember when gardening was hot") for the good old days? Looks like we have a new era on our hands. Kudos to all of you working on the mortgage jobs! Yay! Enjoy!

Hi Constant - Is that what happened to my sale?? Last night I sold the article "Why, When and How to File for an Individual Income Tax Extension" and then this morning I see it is "unsold". Was it a false sale or a return? :?

After reading the other posts I see that it was one of the false sales. Glad that everyone shares here!

May we know if the "editorial" request for several titles, possibly offering long-term work, was legit?

Thanks.

drat, I thought it a little too good to be true that an article I wrote on a lark, and approved just yesterday would sell in less than 24 hours. Oh well, I was a bit suspicious when the buyer's name was "bekokakok" (Say it out loud, and you will know what I mean.)

That is so bummy, but oh well, I will just keep the confidence boost regardless. Seems to be a rash of stuff lately, not being able to log in (fixed, woohoo!), and false sales, and a ton of spamming each night on the forums. Seesh, whiever Internet God C-C angered, we need to hurry up and make a sacrifice to! :)

Nah, I'm sure it's just been trying week...

Keep smiling!

Back to my question - constant, do you know if the request from "editorial" for several titles, possibly long-term work, is legit? I see nothing has been purchased.

Thanks.

I've had two false sales too, but before I found out one of them was false I wrote another article on a related topic, so I'm going to say "yay for false sales" in this case since it motivated me to write more. :)

Grouchy, "editorial" is the Info.com people that constant was telling us about. It's a real customer who plans to use one or several authors for on-going work. I'd love to hear about it whenever the private requests start getting rewarded though.

Hi, Lauren - yes, I realize CC told us about this requester. However, since nothing has been purchased, and since CC mentioned earlier in this thread that there were false orders, maybe you can understand the reason for my question.

I just received notification of a second sale that didn't really happen. I am drawing closer to earning my name. :(

Constant is usualy pretty discreet about these issues. He won't reveal information before he's ready to in order to protect all parties involved. This is his way of saying, "We know there's a problem - hang tight. We're trying to resolve it." Much of his time is taken up with troubleshooting, so he has a lot of experience with this.

yes the editorial was legit and they will be contacting writers and buying article soon. The order issues have nothing to do with this client.

I just thought maybe you'd missed constant's post - there always seems to be a lot going on in the forums - but I completely understand the reason behind your question. I too was wondering when they'd start awarding assignments and purchasing the articles.

Anyway, here's to hoping the next sales notifications we all get are real ones! Constant, I appreciate your heads up on the forum letting us know you are resolving those issues - it's always nice to have the official word.
