You could hear a pin drop in here

Where is everyone. It's so quiet around here that you could hear a pin drop. I've been out of the loop with the flu and am still fighting it. How is everyone else doing?

We're holding our breaths, waiting for someone to buy something! :)

LOL Dorothy. Ditto. :P

In yet another attempt to help out the family budget, we're in search of a vehicle that gets better gas mileage. So basically I'm banging my head against the wall since the of-so-helpful car dealers are offering us squat for our almost-new truck. :x

I'm around, just not as much as I'd like right now. Lots of things keeping me busy at the moment, but working on some new articles right now, so hopefully we can all make some more sales real soon!

Me too, Dorothy. Things are a little slow right now. They will pick up though.

Buying a new or different vehicle is always hard. No one wants to give you what your vehicle is worth. Check the blue book for the prices and if need be, sell your truck privately. It's not hard at all.

I wonder where LadyJade is. She is usually around. Hope she doesn't have this flu bug. It's nasty. :? Everyone be sure and take care of themselves.

Hi everyone,

I'm still here too. When my own business picks up I'm not able to write as much for CC. That's why I've been in and out lately. My business had a really busy spell for the past couple of months - yippee!

Mary, I hope you get to feeling well soon. It's been many years since I had the flu (knock on wood), but I know it's an awful thing. I'm sure your fingers ache when you type too.

Hopefully business will pick up here and everywhere soon. Have a good weekend!

Candice,

Thanks for the well wishes. It started out as feeling a lack of energy and having a few sniffles. It's now full blown and very hard to get rid of. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. :)

I'm glad your business is doing so well and hope you stay busy over the Christmas season. What type of business do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

You have a great weekend as well. As for me, I'm sleeping most of it away in hopes I can shirk this bug.

Mary,

I have a website (webmastercourse.com) that offers web and graphic design training to beginners. I also offer my freelance writing services there as well.

Thanks for asking! :-)

Mary,

I have a website (webmastercourse.com) that offers web and graphic design training to beginners. I also offer my freelance writing services there as well. It's been such a blessing to me because I've been able to stay home with my sons for years.

Thanks for asking! :-)

Thanks for the advice, Mary. We might just be selling it ourselves, since that looks like the only way to get what we feel it is worth.

Feel better soon!

Candice,

Good for you. I'm glad you could stay at home with your son. Many mothers have to work and depend on others to care for their children. You are truly blessed. Wish my daughter was able to stay home with her kids.

southernrose,

I know what it's like. Last year we sold our car privately because it was 14 years old and in top shape. The dealers offered us between $50 and $110. We sold it for $1000 and had the down payment for our new one. Wish we had kept the old one now. It was a far better car. Good luck!
