It really varies. Since the 14th was a Friday, it could take several days depending on whether Ed is working over the weekend. Othertimes, it can take as little as an hour. It depends on the current workload and other conditions.
It's been my experience that long wait times usually result in rejections. Does anyone have any insight on this? I submitted two articles yesterday that are still in review. Is this very common?
Expecting a 24-hour turnaround is a little bit unusual. We try to review articles within 3 days, but the site has been under major repair for the past few weeks, so wait time may be a bit longer if the site is experiencing problems.
