I have happened upon an article on this site relating to "Gout" which contains inaccurate advice. The article states, 'Follow a low-purine diet. This includes organ meats, meat, shellfish, yeast, and mackerel etc.'.
These foods are in fact high in Purine and should be avoided or restricted. This article appears to have been downloaded 3 times. As a registered nurse this matter concerns me.
Who monitors health information or advice on this site?

Winn,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I researched the information on Google and you are correct. I've removed the article and asked the author to correct the information. Thanks again for being my eyes, as I can't be everywhere. I appreciate your concern and your assistance.

reply to staff re health information
Thank you for your prompt response. I am not being critical, just concerned about content accuracy, and the legalities surrounding the clients who download and reproduce articles containing misleading information.
