selecting a category

A bit of help, please. I'm trying to submit my first article (re-submit, actually). I clicked in the category field and selected "tutorials." The page refreshed, and what read in the category field was "select a category." I went round a round wit this three times. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing's wrong. I do believe that it just means there's nothing further you can choose as a classification. And don't worry, you're not the only one who went round and round with that issue :) I can keep myself uselessly occupied for hours when those lil roadblocks pop up.

Thanks, DS! Okay, so the bottom line is, you just select 'til you can't select no more! *grin* Got it. Now I have to go solve my other problems. I should have an article up and running by the time I retire!

Just select "Articles" and then choose from the drop-down menu a subcategory that fits your topic. It isn't necessary to drill down until you can't select any more.
